A TurnKey Webcasting Solution!

During the ICCFA convention I had the opportunity to walk around and see all of the interesting products that were on display. Sometimes, I even had the chance to stop and did a quick video interview and find out more about the product. Below is a video interview I did with Keith Petty from Memorial Streams. His company offers a turnkey webcasting solution.

There are so many different webcasting options and companies available in the industry now. Sometimes it might be hard to have the time to weight the pros and cons of each company. Watch the video below and let Keith tell you why Memorial Streams might just be what you need.

When I Die, Make It a Skittles Celebration!

Being at a funeral industry convention and looking at all of the new and innovative product can sometimes get your mind thinking about your funeral and what it will be like.

What really gets your mind thinking about your funeral is when you have the authors of the nationally recognized book: “Grave Expectations – Planning the End Like There’s No Tomorrow”, doing a book signing in your booth. That’s exactly what happened to me last week at the ICCFA convention.

I invited Sue Bailey and Carmen Flowers, Co-authors of a book about planning your own funeral. I began reading the book a few months ago and must admit, I never thought that planning your own funeral could be such a hysterical celebration.

The book definitely inspires you to think outside the box (no pun intended), and plan a celebration that is as unique as you are. The book is very humorous and does an amazing job showing death as something beautiful and special not dark and gloomy. Some even say in could inspire you to want to “Taste The Rainbow”.

ICCFA Reflections From an Outsider – CDTV Episode #13

CDTV is the world’s most fun funeral industry webshow, focused on industry trends, information, and products and how they can make funeral homes more profitable.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the ConnectingDirectors.com Booth at the ICCFA Convention. I am sorry if I missed anyone, but at least you got to meet my rockstar Dad!!

It was so exciting to share this convention with my Dad! We had such a great time. I really enjoyed answering all of the questions he had about the industry and different things he saw.

Before the start of the convention I did a video interview with my Dad and discussed with him his expectations for the convention (watch that video here).

On the way home from the convention we had a little time to kill while waiting for our connecting flight at the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport, so we thought it would be the perfect time to shoot a follow up interview and see how close the convention was to actually matching Dad’s expectations.

2 Huge ConnectingDirectors.com Announcements!!

The last few weeks have been supppppeeerrr jammed pack! We have been furiously getting prepard for the ICCFA Convention next week. Our booth is fairly simple. I ordered a Royal Blue rubberized floor to use instead of paying the convention center an arm and a leg for carpet. I will be able to ship this floor to the other conventions we attend as well, saving us lots of dough!! I ordered an 8′ projection screen to display the website, and I have a big banner to set beside the screen as well. The look should be pretty cool. I am getting very excited!!

This is going to be our first time exhibiting at ICCFA and I must say, the peeps at ICCFA have been a total joy to work with. They have alot of rock stars working with their association, so my expectations are set super high.

To add an extra punch to our booth this year, I have invited two guests!! The first guest will be helping work the booth with me, and is someone who is very important in my life. My father!! My Dad has not been to a funeral industry convention before and is really looking forward to the opportunity and I am excited for everyone to meet him.

The next guest is Carmen Flowers, and she will be in the booth on Thursday. Carmen is co-author of the very popular book “Grave Expectations: Planning the End Like There’s No Tomorrow”. Carmen will have copies of the book for sale in the booth and will be signing the copies copies that are purchased. If you have already purchased the book, please bring it with you and Carmen will be happy to sign it.

Keep reading there is another big announcement below!!
